Cursillo life started in June 1976, Cursillo #362 at St. Benedict Center, San Francisco (SFO), CA - Decuria of St. Bernadette.
She has been a very active member of the Filipino Cursillo Community in SFO and was also a past member of their Secretariat.
Aster was part of the group that started the Filipino Cursillo in San Jose, when it became a diocese in 1982. She became the 1st Rectora for the 1st Cursillo in November 17-20, 1983 and Lay Director in 1992 - 1994.

Started living her Cursillo life in September 1998, Cursillo #188 at Aptos, CA - Decuria of St Therese.
Belongs to Holy Spirit Parish, San Jose, and one of the catechist volunteers for "Children's Liturgy of the Word" ministry during Sundays. The Cursillo movement has given her great opportunities to serve God by serving others in the women's weekends for the past several years.
